I recently received my Nars Sin / Casino duo in my first ever swap on MakeupAlley and I'm so pleased to report it went as smoothly as can be. I have featured this duo in a video on my YouTube channel, please click this link to view if you are interested.
I have been wanting to try 'Sin' for a long time. It's quite a unique colour and is very lovely although quite sheer on me, but as with most Nars products it is buildable. On the Nars website it is described as 'Berry with gold shimmer', I would say it is pale golden plum colour, it's really pretty and ideal for autumn. It reminds me of Mac Trax eyeshadow as it has that same two tone colour effect but is a lighter in tone.

I'm not keen on too much shimmer so I try to tap those off before applying. It is very finely milled and feels luxurious. Even though it has a bit more shimmer than I prefer I have to admit it does give a lovely glow and colour to my cheeks. It hasn't replaced my love for my Mac Plum Foolery blush, I'm quite loyal to this as I love the effect it gives my cheeks.
The Casino bronzer was the icing on the cake for me in this duo as I had no idea whether it would show up on me (Mac NC44, Nars Sheer Glow Cadiz foundations) so that I could use it for contouring, thankfully it shows up quite a bit and is buildable too, so perfect for contouring.
On the Nars website it is described as 'dark brown with gold shimmer', which is pretty accurate. If you see the swatch below on my arm it looks like quite a warm colour, it compliments my skin which has yellow/olive undertones. I don't notice any shimmer on my skin.

I recently purchased Nars’ Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo an could not be more amazed with the results. This product actually improves the look of my entire face. After applying this bronzer/blush duo, I truly feel like a model.
The pigmentation of both the blush and the bronzer is perfectly formulated. This product applies evenly and gorgeously and somehow the genius chemists at Nars have been able to develop a fool proof formula. In other words, no matter how much you apply you will never look like a clown. When I wish to apply a light coat of bronzer to simply spruce up my skin tone
I apply a light layer of bronzer first which looks completely natural. Instead of making me appear as if I have just applied a bronzer, my skin looks as if I just spent a few hours out in the sun and got some natural looking color. If I want a darker more dramatic look I simply apply more bronzer and amazingly, I simply look as if I spent a longer duration of time in the sun and was able to get more color. As for the blush, the same theory applies. You can never apply too much - this product is fool proof. If you desire a light tinge to your cheeks you simply apply a very light layer. For a more dramatic look, simply apply more. Again, amazingly you will never look like ...
- a clown or someone who has no idea how to apply makeup. The blush simply gives you a natural looking glow as if you are truly blushing with joy as opposed to having applied a cosmetic blush.
This product comes in a variety of colors but the one that works with virtually every skin tone is the compact that consists of Laguna bronzer and Orgasm blush. The orgasm blush looks absolutely beautiful on every single skin tone, hair color and eye color. It looks natural every time and never artificial. I could not be more pleased with this product, it looks absolutely gorgeous and natural. If you feel pale and pasty, simply apply some Laguna bronzer which will give you a sun kissed glow and some Orgasm blush to top it off which will make you look as if you just finished laughing at a funny joke. The Laguna bronzer has a matte finish which blends gorgeously on the skin. The orgasm blush has a slight sparkle to it which makes it interesting. However, the sparkle is so subtle than instead of making it look as if you actually have glitter on your face it contains just the slightest bit of shimmer to make your cheeks glisten. Again, the results are amazingly natural. The bronzer and the blush are both highly pigmented so they glide on beautifully and you will never find yourself applying coat after coat as you are forced to do with cheaper drug store brands. I am amazed with how natural this product looks on and I will not leave the house without applying it first.
